Alfred Hitchcock 13 August 1899 - 29 April 1980) - film director and producer, originally from Great Britain but later working in the USA[1] Hitchcock was a major influence on the detective and thriller genres, and was famous for his suspense techniques.
Hitchcock began his career in Britain. His first films were silent, then he moved to sound cinema. In 1939, Hitchcock moved to Hollywood, and in 1956 he obtained a second US citizenship. Over the course of his six-decade career, Hitchcock made more than fifty feature films, including:
