Coco Schrijber (1961) is a Dutch film director of documentaries and author of the books De Luchtweepers (2015) and Ola en dedingen (2019).
Schrijber studied at the Rietveld Academy and has been directing documentaries since 1994. During the 2008 Dutch Film Festival she won a Golden Calf for her documentary Bloody Mondays & Strawberry Pies (best long documentary) about boredom. The film also won Best Feature Documentary and Best Editing at the Monterrey International Film Festival and was the official Dutch entry for the Oscars. With this film she also won the NFF Incentive Prize for Artistic Success and the Dokufest Audience Award in Kosovo.
In 2009, 2015 and 2017 she was one of the nominees for the Jan Hanlo Essay Prize Klein.
Her favorite films are Taxi Driver and Days of Heaven.
