Turkish tenor Deniz Leone was born in 1981 in Smirne. He studied in Italy with Luciano Pavarotti in Modena and with Stella Silva and Maurizio Arena at the Conservatory “Benedetto Marcello” in Venice. He made his professional debut in 2006 as Don Ottavio DON GIOVANNI at the Gran Teatro La Fenice. In the following season he debuted as Alfredo LA TRAVIATA, Duca di Mantova RIGOLETTO and Edgardo LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR, all at the Teatro Verdi, Padova. Subsequent engagements included Des Grieux MANON at the Estonian National Opera, Fenton FALSTAFF at the The National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Albania, Duca di Mantova RIGOLETTO at the Greek National Opera in Athens and Edgardo LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR conducted by Daniel Oren at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa. Upcoming engagements include Gennaro LUCREZIA BORGIA for Teatro Verdi di Trieste.
