Felicia Honkasalo lives and works in Helsinki, Finland. She holds a Master’s degree in Time Art from the Helsinki University of the Arts and a BA in Photography from the University of the Arts London, UK. Her work has been exhibited in Finland and abroad in both solo and group exhibitions, and has been screened at international film screenings. In 2019, Loose Joints (UK) published her first monograph, Grey Cobalt. Honkasalo’s work explores the relationship between memory and history, and the boundaries between life and death, human and animal. She seeks to question established models of thinking critically and poetically and to promote new ways of perceiving the world. The artist often collaborates with other artists and scholars. Recently, her work has been exhibited at Sinne Gallery, Helsinki, Finland (2024), Sema Nanji Museum of Contemporary Art, South Korea (2023), Turku Art Museum, Finland (2022), Helsinki Biennale, Finland (2021), Riga International Biennale of Contemporary Art, Latvia (2020).
