Gaël Petrina is a bass player and composer with a diverse cultural background, having grown up in Los Angeles, London, and Paris. He is heavily rooted in jazz and improvised music, having studied at the Conservatoire National Regional de Paris. Career: Petrina is known for blending genres, including jazz, rock, hip hop, electronica, classical, and Latin music. He has performed with top international artists and has played at numerous respected venues and festivals across five continents. He is part of several projects, including the German-based Natalie Kies Trio, the French rock quartet Balinger, the Geoffrey Secco Quartet, and the Mexican jazz group Fro Trio. Awards and Recognition: With the Fro Trio, Petrina won all three prestigious prizes at the La Défense Jazz Festival in 2013.
