The second oldest Lithuanian symphonic ensemble, the LMTA Symphony Orchestra, was established in 1953. In different periods, the most prominent Lithuanian trampoline masters and performers worked with and trained this youth orchestra: Abelis Klenickis, Jurgis Fledžinskas, Juozas Domarkas, Gintaras Rinkevičius, Laurynas Vakaris Lopas, Robertas Šervenikas. Since 2013 the orchestra is led by conductor Assoc. Martynas Staškus.
The LMTA symphony orchestra consists of students from the Departments of Strings and Wind and Percussion Instruments, who gather every year in the spring and fall to make music together and prepare new programs. Then the spaces of the academy are filled with the sounds of orchestra rehearsals, the walls are shaken by the magnificent sound of the rehearsing team. Guest conductors are often invited to work with the orchestra.
