Schenker's younger brother Michael and vocalist Klaus Mainer joined the band. However, Michael later left the band with his guitarist and drummer, and Rudolf and Klaus joined a band called "Dawn Road", consisting of Francis Buchholz (bass guitar), Uli Roth (guitar) and Jogens Rozental ( Jürgen Rosenthal) (drums). Together, they decided to name this new group Scorpions, a name that would be easy to remember and understand not only in Germany. Their first album titled Lonesome Crow was released in 1972, at the time when Michael Šenker decided to join UFO. in 1982 They performed to an audience of 1 million at the Blackout album launch.
