"Siela" is a Lithuanian gothic rock band, formed in 1990 and still alive today. "Siela" became a pioneer of its style in Lithuania. The group, which has been in existence for more than two decades, has released more than one cult album.
Perhaps the greatest hit of "Soul" can be called the track "Vējas. Star", from the compilation album "Sielininkai", which was recorded together with Andrium Mamontov and in 1996 reached No. 1 in the list of the most popular Lithuanian songs of "Radiocentro".
The song "Gėlės zamerkia", released in 1997 on the album "Tremtyje", also managed to rise to the first place. Among the group's biggest hits are the works "Autumn God", "I needed you", "Love is hurt by the sky". In 2008, after more than ten years, the group returned to the lists of the most popular Lithuanian songs with the song "Euphorija".
Music critics called "Souls" album "Euforija" the best rock album of 2008 in Lithuania and heaped praise on this record, noting its quality, professionalism, sound adapted to a wider audience. in 2009 "Siela" was invited to play at the "Radiocentro" music awards, where they were among the contenders in the rock of the year and veteran of the year nominations.
In 2010, the group celebrated its twentieth anniversary, and on that occasion, on November 13. organized a festive concert in Vilnius, which was attended by over 600 spectators. On the same day, the jubilee album "XX" was released, in which songs from "Soul" were recorded by various Lithuanian artists (Andrius Mamontovas, Alina Orlova, "Lemon Joy", "Thundertale", "Mano Juodoji Sesuo" and others).
in 2011 "Siela" organized an acoustic concert in St. Catherine's Church in Vilnius and on its basis released the vinyl record "Visa matanti akis", which included the previously unpublished song "Provincija". In 2013, the tracks that were not included in this album were included in the bootleg "Edge of the World EP".
in 2015 "Siela" returned with new songs and presented the album "Širdis" in April. Cross. Horseshoe" (album singles - "1968", "Ilguma. Platuma", "Karma"). For the songs "Length. Latitude" and "1968" were filmed video clips. At the end of the year, "Siela", which can call itself one of the longest-running Lithuanian rock bands, celebrated its 25th anniversary at the Vilnius Art Factory "Loftas". For the gathered audience, "Siela" performed a three-part program in which nearly thirty of the most popular and new songs from all the band's albums were played.
