he graduated from the jazz department (master's course) of the Jāzeps Vītolas Latvian Academy of Music, and is currently one of the most sought-after jazz trumpeters in Latvia. Normunds is a member of several big bands - he performs both in "Mirage Jazz Orchestra" and in Wright Ashman's big band, as well as in many other musical projects in various styles.
