Ona Julija Lukas Steponaitytė is an artist and member of a Berlin- and Vilnius-based collective alongside Ssi Saarinen and Iida Jonsson. The group is known for their site-specific audiovisual installations, including their work SILT, which explores accidental landscapes formed by environmental fallout, such as the sudden appearance of a lake near Likančiai, Lithuania, due to the disrepair of Soviet-era drainage systems.
The collective employs diverse methods like first-person documentation, forensic diving, and aerial perspectives to study landscapes impacted by disasters. Their work integrates polyphonic soundscapes spatialized by MONOM, enhancing the immersive experience. They are alumni of the Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam and have exhibited at prestigious venues such as the Venice Biennale, Kunsthal Charlottenborg, and Whitechapel Gallery
