Svetlana Maigienė

Violinist Svetlana Maigienė studied at the M. K. Čiurlionis National Art School (Prof. U. Jagėlaitė-Lipinaitienė) and the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater. in 2005 obtained a bachelor's degree, and in 2007 master's degrees (M. Švēgžda von Bekker's violin class). in 2009 the violinist was awarded the qualification degree of Licentiate of Arts (prof. I. Armonaitė-Galinienė's violin class). S. Maigienė is a graduate and laureate of the international En L'eglise de Kichompre in France, Trio Di Trieste in Italy and 2 national competitions. The violinist participated in various music festivals and orchestra projects: in 2000 in Sweden, Estonia, 2001 Berliner Bach Akademie in Germany, 2002. in Italy, Austria, 2004 in Denmark, 2005 in Central America, 2006 Finland, France. The violinist improved in master courses in Lithuania and abroad with well-known violinists such as A. Fischer, P. Berman, B. Garlitsky, M. Vengerov and others, and also improved in Austria, Italy, France in international chamber music courses. 2004-2007 worked in the newly formed chamber orchestra Camerata Klaipėda, led by violinist V. Čepinskis and in 2006-2007 took the position of concertmaster of the orchestra. Since 2009 works in the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra in the group of first violins (artist of the highest category). The violinist is actively involved in musical activities, performs violin repertoire, chamber music opuses of traditional and non-traditional composition, has organized solo programs and chamber music recitals and concerts: "Sonata opuses", "Lithuanian compositions", "Spring muse", "Journey to divine Florence". , "To the rhythm of Tango", Educational concerts for children, "Brahms evenings" and others. S. Maigienė has recorded and performed many works by Lithuanian composers. As a soloist, she performed with the "Kamerphilharmonie Amadé" in Germany, Estonian Symphony, Vilnius University Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Klaipėda, Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra.
