Merūnas Vitulskis is coming to Palanga with the VDU string quartet! He will present the latest concert program "Open Heart" at the resort.
You would find few people in Lithuania who have never heard the unique and strong vocals of Merūnas. This extraordinary and rare talent makes even the most complex arias seem incredibly easy. The audience listens with the greatest pleasure to the songs, which have been transformed into paintings by the powerful but gentle tenor.
Fans appreciate Merūnas's open manner no less: they laugh at his jokes together, find a part of themselves in real-life stories and honest confessions.
Maroon definitely has another voice. Not only of a famous tenor, but also of an ordinary person, husband, father. In recent years, having survived several internal crises and winning several important battles with himself, the singer realized that he had something to tell people. And they choose to do it not only with soul-touching songs, but also with open conversations.
"When I realized that I am not limited by any genre in my concerts, I started to communicate more and more with the audience. I was hesitant at first, but then I saw that people liked it. This is how the "Open Heart" program was born. There is certainly no shortage of songs and conversations in it. I can't hide my feelings, I can't play a character. During the long years of my career, I tried to form stage images, but nothing stuck. I feel best when I am myself," says Merūnas.
At the "Atvira širdimi" concerts, the list of songs does not change much, after all, a professional string quartet travels with Merūnas, who must know in advance what they will play. The program features the most popular songs from Merūnas' extremely successful album "Music for Lithuania" and from other periods of his career and released albums.
And here is another intriguing part of the concert: conversations, jokes, stories - it evolves. "So much has happened since the last concerts that I can't wait to share new insights with the audience," smiles Merūnas, who is already thinking about the summer performance in Palanga.
