Kanalizacija x Twentieth of November Orchestra - Lukiškės Prison 2.0

On 29 May, a true Lithuanian underground will emerge in the courtyard of the Lukiškės Prison. Two alternative bands worthy of each other, Kanalizacija and Lapkričio dvidešimtosios orkestras, will share the same stage.

Kanalizacija

"Kanalizacija" is not only a system of pipelines for collecting wastewater. "Sewerage" is also about the musical channels that communicate through improvisation on stage.

This post-everything instrumental band has already visited all Lithuanian jazz festivals, seen a bit of the world, earned a good reputation and has been successfully residing in the Lukiškės prison complex for some time now.

Tuba instead of bass, saxophone instead of vocals, the sweet voices of the guys pulling out four-part melodies. Psychedelic touches of electric guitar, combined with drums, moving instantly between grit and metal. Memorable choruses combine with the energy of free jazz. In their latest album, the band members have put aside the jazz motifs for a bit and are now exploring psychedelic and harder rock, and they are doing it masterfully. This wild band from the capital city flushes any heartache down the drain.

November Twentieth Orchestra


Postmodern non-modern music ensemble from Vilnius. A collective of 8 charismatic musicians whose energy barely fits even on the biggest stage. From dark post-punk to cabaret, extravagant image, original meaningful lyrics and eclectic aesthetics.

People say that this band is the pride of the Lithuanian stage. But as a good Lithuanian underground should - they don't look for words in their pockets. Apart from the ironic lyrics, the orchestra's music doesn't let the audience stand still. The brass, percussion and strings invite you to take life easier.
