In the closing concert of the festival, the Spanish Brass ensemble is a real dessert for music lovers. In 1996, the ensemble won first prize at the VI International Brass Quintet Competition "Ville de Narbonne" (France), considered the most prestigious competition of this genre in the world. In 2020, the ensemble was awarded the National Music Prize of the Spanish Ministry of Culture. In addition to its 32 recordings, the ensemble organises festivals dedicated to brass band music, such as BALZ - Festival Spanish Brass Alzira and Brassurround, featuring renowned ensembles and guest soloists. The ensemble will present chamber music opuses as well as rarely performed compositions specially written for brass quintet and brass orchestra in the Vilnius Winds Festival programme.
