A poetry and jazz express "On the road of life with poetry and music" will take place at the Giruliai branch of the Immanuel Kant Public Library of the Municipality of the City of Klaipėda (Šlaito g. 6A). Interpretations and improvisations will be performed by actress Virginija Kochanskytė and saxophonist Laimonas Urbikas.
The artists promise poetry improvisations and jazz readings, or in other words a jam session - a jazz session - full of unbridled emotions and thoughts. The programme is dialogical and playful - it will leave no one indifferent and will touch everyone's heart.
The programme will feature a jam session with poets: A. Mickevičius, S. Geda, J. Vaičiūnaitė, J. Kaplinskis, H. Radauskas, Č. Miloš, H. Nagy, Ž. Poems by. Jazz virtuoso Laimonas Urbikas will play and improvise on the saxophone works by famous jazz composers from all over the world, which correspond to poetry.
The audience will be invited to participate in the dialogue between poetry and music by reading poetry, asking questions and making requests. The actress, the saxophonist and the audience will leave after the event filled with the desire to live more beautifully, more interestingly, more meaningfully - for everyone who comes, it will be a meeting with their soul.
