This project will offer a contemplation of contemporary sound culture through hypothetical robotic folklore motifs, supposedly taken from cultural artefacts of a once-existing humanity" (Jonas Jurkūnas) A solo multi-media project depicting a dystopian future, long after the end of our time, in which robots reinvent and reuse the remnants of the human musical heritage (and its RAM) found in the remains. From the ruins, sung by local synthetic programs, a new robotic folklore spontaneously emerges, tracing the history of our musical ancestors. The project will be adapted to a special festival space. "The Robotic Folk project evolved naturally from the ideology of the DIISSC Orchestra and the Electronic Music Trio (EMT): "In the pauses between composing acoustic or applied music, I often sit down to experiment with electronic sound. What is too personal or unsuitable for collective music-making is always in a separate folder. Eventually a large amount of experimental electronic music emerged, varying between digital reinterpretations of guitar sounds and hints of club music."
