One of the most famous Lithuanian tenors of our time, Edgaras Montvidas, together with the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Gintaras Rinkevičius and the Dagilėlis Choir, will give an impressive solo concert. The audience will be treated to a cosy Christmas programme and an unexpected special guest.
On 14 December, the Twinsbet Arena will be transformed into the largest classical music hall in Lithuania. The two-part concert will feature the most beautiful masterpieces of classical music as well as popular music that has already become a classic: from Andrew Lloyd Webber to Handel, from John Lennon to Walter Kent.
Nostalgic pieces such as "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas" will take on a unique and unheard-of flavour when performed by a choir and orchestra. They will be specially arranged for this event by the talented composer Jievaras Jasinskis (JJA Music).
"Before the Christmas bustle begins, I would like to invite you to take in the light and festive spirit by listening to a carefully selected selection of pieces, which I will be performing together with my old friends and partners on stage - the LVSO and Maestro Gintaras Rinkevičius. Thank you also to the boys' and young people's choir "Dagilėlis", who have kindly agreed to add their voices to this concert. Christmas for me is a sentimental holiday, nostalgically reminiscent of my childhood, when I used to wait for miracles with childish naivety. And, you know what? I still believe in them, and I still look forward to them! One of them will happen on December 14th!"
