A delightful evening of vocal music featuring the most beautiful arias, duets, songs from operas, operettas and duets performed by Lithuanian opera stars - the laureate of the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture Prize, the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, Liudas Mikalauskas, one of the most famous basses of Lithuania's younger generation, whose exceptional voice timbre and artistry have earned him the love of the audience, and soprano Vilija Kuprevičienė, whose performance in Germany was followed by the following press reports: "The new Lithuanian star Vilija Kuprevičienė took the Leipzig Gewandhaus by storm with her unique voice". The musicians will be accompanied by the renowned pianist Aleksandra Žvirblytė
Liudas Mikalauskas is a Grand Prix and 1st prize winner of 12 international singing competitions, the most famous of which are: the 2nd International Adam Didur Opera Singers' Competition (Poland), the 13th International Ada Sari Singers' Competition (Poland), the 8th International I.A. The Second International Sari Sari Singing Competition (Russia), the Second International Sari Sari Singing Competition (Russia), the Second International Sari Sari Singing Competition (Russia), the Second International Sari Sari Singing Competition (Russia), the Second International Sari Sari Singing Competition (Russia). In 2006 he was awarded the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania Prize "For the best professional debut in 2006". In 2007 he had a traineeship at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Great Britain. He is preparing roles at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre and all Lithuanian musical theatres.
He has currently prepared more than 30 roles in various productions, the most famous of which are Figaro in W. A. Mozart's opera The Marriage of Figaro, Mephistopheles in Ch. Gounod in Margarita, Le Comte in Massenet's Manon, Don Bartolo and Don Basilio in Rossini's The Barber of Seville, Davaina in Kuprevičius's Queen Bona, Enrico in Donizetti's Anna Bolena, Pangloss in Bernstein's operetta Candide. He is often invited to sing with all Lithuanian symphony orchestras; he regularly performs at international festivals in Lithuania, Poland, Estonia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Great Britain, Sweden, USA. In September-December 2008 he took part in the LRT musical project "Arc of Triumph" and won the title of "Golden Voice".
Vilija Kuprevičienė has sung a number of solo roles in the LNOBT spectaculars (K. M. Weber's "The Free Rifleman", M. Mussorgsky's "Boris Godunov", Dz. Puccini's "Madame Butterfly", J. Verdi's La Traviata, G. Donizetti's Elixir of Love, etc.). Participated in the project of director J. Vansk "The Four Carmen", where she played the role of Frasquita. She has worked with conductors A. Bar from Israel and Ch. Christov from Bulgaria. He has toured Israel, Macao, Germany, China, Kazakhstan, USA, Poland and Russia. In 2016-18 she was very successful, winning three Garnd Prix competitions in Poland, Russia and Lithuania. At the turn of 2016-2017 she had a tour in Germany, where she performed at the Gewandhaus Great Hall. This concert was widely covered by the German press, which named Vilija as a new star from Lithuania. Vilija Kuprevičienė regularly gives solo performances at international festivals such as M. K. Čiurlionis in Palanga and Vilnius, Vilnius Vivace, etc. Vilija is a soloist of the National Philharmonic Chamber Music Ensemble Musica Humana. She has released three CDs - "The Breath of Love" with Aleksandra Žvirblyte, professor at the LAMT, "New Hope" with the Bulgarian Orchestra conducted by Ch. Christov, "Eternal Love" with the Budapest Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ch. Adi Bar.
