The title of the exhibition suggests that artists not only hear rock, but also... see it. The philosophical and meaning-searching thoughts in their minds are brought together in colourful brushstrokes on canvases. The works on display in the exhibition mark the beginning of the painting and design path of SAMO - the founder and leader of the BIX group, producer of TV projects. These are paintings with a youthful maximalism - surreal, phantasmagoric scenes, executed in a solid painterly manner. Born out of authenticity and challenge, Sauliaus Urbonavičius' works reflect the artist's personal development and the era so close to the time when the wind of freedom swept through Lithuania with the marches of Rock. Gintas Banys is a painter, musician, founder of the band "Ash", bassist and songwriter. The main heroes of his figurative paintings are people. Observing people, G. Banys immerses himself in their world, choosing a mixed method of realism and pop art representation. Gints' works are most fascinating for their synthesis of the real and the imaginary, the union of realistic painting and fantasy, which often resembles the world of dreams - the most tangible expression of the subconscious. This is where their impact lies. Born as a metaphor for freedom, love and death, rock music has evolved into a distinctive way of life filled with creative freedom. The opening of the exhibition will be a surprise - a musical performance by Gintautas Gascevičius-Ginc.
