In recent years, the closing concert of the festival has been formed by the Klaipėda State Music Theatre Choir and Symphony Orchestra, together with the hosts of the festival, Polifonija Choir. This year's culminating event will also feature a trio of Klaipėda State Musical Theatre soloists, and the full band will be led by Greek-Hungarian conductor Mihály Menelaos Zeke. A conductor of exceptional talent, he trained on the organ and piano and studied conducting in Athens and Stuttgart. In his career he has conducted at the Opera Theatre in Dijon, France, the English National Opera, the Théâtre des Champs Elysées and is currently Artistic Director of the chamber choir Cythera, He conducts the Academic Symphony Orchestra and Choir of the University of Stuttgart, is a freelance conductor of radio choirs in Germany, Hungary and Greece, and has recently begun teaching choral conducting at the University of Mainz (Germany). This concert is a unique opportunity to see a music professional of this calibre at the conductor's podium, controlling the flow of music created by musicians and flowing out to the audience.
