This exhibition is the result of the artist's research into the expression of ceramics in sculptural form as a potential to convey the senses. In her works, the artist seeks ways to replace visual distance with physical contact with the object. The focus is on the tactile, enabling the discovery of the object's "second layer", its true, hidden meaning, as observation without touching only points to the outer surface of the shell. The group of spatial objects on display are "ceramic illustrations" made of stoneware clay and cordierite, fired with alternative ceramic firing techniques. The opaque, thermally sensitive surface of the ceramics is the starting point to engage the viewer. This intimate contact, direct dialogue and the transmission of the warmth of human hands reveal what is usually hidden.
