On 13 April, the opening weekend of the Sapiegas Palace, we invite you to stop by to say hello, see the restored facades of the palace and try your hand at the techniques of creating a Baroque bas-relief.
The Sapiegas Palace is a unique Baroque noble residence in Lithuania, hiding the layers of a magnificent and uncomfortable history, reflecting the political attitudes, expectations, and aesthetic tastes of the time. We invite you to explore the subtleties of Baroque architecture and design with artists Monika Kornilova and Artūras Mitinas, to understand the philosophical and political ideas behind the works of art. Deciphering the language of ornate reliefs and intricate decoration, the artists will invite you to create a bas-relief inspired by Baroque techniques.
With the purchase of a ticket, you will be able to visit the exhibition "Refuge" curated by Virginija Januškevičiūtė and Edgars Gerasimovičius.
