"Flamenco is about me," says Carlos Piñana. And he convinces you of that every time he steps on stage. In his hands, the guitar is like a corrida. The strings come alive with love, passion, joy, frustration... Piñana's original programme Puro Flamenco is no exception. The member of the famous flamenco family, one of the strongest composers and performers of the genre, will be presenting it together with the guitarist Rainer Maria Nero.
Rainer Maria Nero is a laureate of numerous competitions and a graduate of the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts with honours. There he studied both classical and flamenco guitar. His versatility makes him highly sought after for both classical and world music projects.
What can we expect from this intriguing duo? Different experiences for a spectacular result: "Classical musicians have a rich sound, flamenco musicians a temperament. That's why we are a perfect match and will give the audience an extraordinary musical experience," Piñana reveals.
It's no secret that this isn't the first time the flamenco coryphaeus has performed in Lithuania. "I'm very happy to be here - the audience understands my language and can feel every note of my guitar."
Get ready for a sensual concert. The duo will use the sounds of the guitars to convey the emotions of flamenco, which ripples between sadness and joy, love and hate, life and death.
