"Love" is grounded in the body of love (the second body), a practice that adds an affective sensitivity to everyday behaviour, an additional stain that can encourage a person to move gradually from the anatomical body towards the body of love. The body of love is not only related to the affect arising from the body, but also to the body arising from affect. Affect creates and moves the body. The web of affect is primordial - the body is love. The body of love may resemble certain non-Western bodies - bodies as accumulations of affects and capacities that organise perspectives and worlds around themselves - bodies that act on reality through special practices. We don't know what the body of love can do. The affective metamorphosis of the body can lead to other worlds.
One simple way to activate the love body is to influence and be influenced by plants. Puzzling experiments have shown that plants sense when someone is about to harm them, suggesting that there is a primal sensitivity that we share with other beings and with nature in general. In times of mass extinction, with more than 200 species disappearing every day, this sensitivity must be revived and extended to embodied love, because it seems that nothing else will stop us from destroying everything. We could care for the world more out of love than out of rational duty. - Florin Flueras
