This year the jazz festival, which has been taking place in Alytus for the fourth time now, welcomes the audience not only with a new look, but also with a new name. Alytus Jazz`24, renewed and greatly expanded, invites you to discover the sound of jazz music in new spaces and enjoy 7 concerts. This year's programme consists of six bands, including a number of foreign artists.  American trumpeter and composer J. Hunter has brought together professional Baltic jazz musicians to record an album of original compositions and timeless classics called ImagiNation. The music is characterised by its high spirituality, refreshing and uplifting modern jazz approach. Musicians from four countries have come together to provide an exciting and soulful experience in a universal musical language.
Jason Hunter is a trumpeter, arranger and composer originally from Los Angeles, California. After studying music at Fullerton College and Berklee, he has performed with jazz greats such as Mark Whitfield, Ralph Peterson, and Tiger Okoshi.
Jason is currently based in Tallinn, Estonia, and performs with some of Estonia's leading jazz artists. He performs jazz, funk and popular music, as well as arranging, writing and producing many projects. A unique musician, he is well regarded in the wider community for his knowledge of traditional jazz and strong improvisational skills.
