Together they perform the original works of Estonian pianist and composer Rahel Talts. Born and raised in Estonia, she studied in Copenhagen and currently lives and works in Vilnius. The group's music can be described as energetic, acoustic, melodic jazz with influences from old traditional jazz, bebop and swing. While Rahel's work has previously been influenced by modern jazz, this programme focuses on post bop and old school jazz, enriched by her individual and modern sound. Rahel Talts (EE) - piano Hilda Nordkvist (SE) - double bass Andreas Svendsen (DK) - drums Collaborative Jazz Septet concert. This is the only jazz septet in Lithuania that authentically performs original music inspired by the bebop and hardbop eras. One of the best ways to grow as a musician or discover new musical directions is to collaborate with fellow musicians or artists from other disciplines. And the more quality collaborations, the better! Of course, many artists understand and actively use this creative concept, but the most important thing is not to forget its importance and artistic significance in everyday life. Good friends, performers, multi-instrumentalists, composers and arrangers Donatas Petreikis and Karolis Šarkus - acquaintances for many years, during which time they have listened to and discussed a lot of music together, debated saxophone topics and shared their music. Often, this remained within the confines of the studio and did not come out in public. In 2020, the two artists had accumulated enough musical knowledge, joined forces and, out of love for the jazz tradition, the debut album of the Collaborative Jazz Septet was released! After a two-year break, the group presented their second album "That Groove", which was marked not only by launch concerts but also a live video recording session, and in 2023 the composers' latest work "Man Of Culture" will see the light of day. Mindaugas Vadoklis - trumpet Karolis Šarkus - alto saxophone Donatas Petreikis - tenor saxophone Jievaras Jasinski - trombone Tuomas Korhonen - piano Mariusz Praśniewski - double bass Augustas Baronas - percussion We will donate half of the money raised from the ticket sales to the support fund of VšĮ Mėlyna ir geltona. Tickets will be priced. Danielė Adakauskaitė, designer of the event series The event series is financed by the Lithuanian Council for Culture Friends of the festival.
