On 13 June, pianist Kasparas Uinskas will perform a solo concert at the Sapiegas Palace, featuring a cycle of 24 preludes by Polish composer Frédéric Chopin in the Great Menorah.
K. Uinskas says about the programme of the upcoming concert: "Chopin's music is one of the closest to my soul. It embodies the most sensitive human emotions. His music is brilliant because every note, sound and melody has a meaning and a place. Chopin's music requires the utmost pianistic training and at the same time is extremely understandable and accessible to the human being. In this concert I will perform all 24 preludes that the composer wrote while spending the winter in Mallorca with his beloved George Sand. I think everyone in the audience will hear and feel the feelings Chopin experienced."
An internationally acclaimed pianist, Uinskas performs at the world's most important concert halls and festivals, and has been praised by music critics for his exceptional artistry: "A great pianist and musician" (New York Concert Review), "A breathtakingly sensual performance that was utterly magical" (Seen and Heard international). Uinskas has performed in venues such as New York's Carnegie Hall, Washington's J.F. Kennedy Center, London's Wigmore Hall, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Madrid Philharmonic, the BoZar in Brussels, and many more. These international performances have earned not only the highest critical acclaim, but also the acclaim of audiences.
In the summer of 2021, Uinskas was invited for the second time to take part in the festival of the legendary pianist Martha Argerich, where he appeared together with the cellist Alexander Knyazev at the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg. Following this concert, the Belgian record label Avanticlassic released a CD of works by Johannes Brahms. For the first time at this festival, K. Uinskas performed in 2018 in a duo with pianist Evgeni Bozhanov.
During more than two decades of his professional career, K. Uinskas has performed with a number of world-famous orchestras. Uinsk's solo concerts have been performed at London's Wigmore Hall, Baerum Kulturhus Hall in the Piano Master Series, Bodø Festival Nordland Musikkfestuk (Norway), BoZar Hall in Brussels, Brussels Piano Festival, the Fantastic Pianist series in Japan, Slovak Philharmonic Hall, Zurich (Switzerland), Mumbai (India). Uinskas has given chamber music concerts in Norway, Italy, Austria, Germany, toured with cellist Knyazev and Tchaikovsky Competition winner Andrei Ionita, as well as with cellist Aleksei Shadrin, violin star Svetlin Roussev, Boris Brovtsyn, and others.
