This performance at Užutrakis Palace will be special, as the artist promises to dedicate it to his favourite genre - solo piano improvisation. The audience will be delighted by spontaneous compositions in a variety of styles. According to the composer, he himself practically never knows what will sound next - it is as if some invisible force is broadcasting his musical thoughts, which flow through the pianist's hands. In this way, the whole concert becomes a kind of mystery, full of surprises and small miracles.
Vitalijus Neugasimovas studied at the Balys Dvarionas Ten-Year School of Music in Vilnius (piano class of A. Velička), and at the Lomonosov Moscow State Academy of Music. -
As a soloist, chamber ensemble participant, concertmaster and pedagogue, he has participated in various events in Lithuania, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Sweden, Ukraine, Moldova and Estonia. He has performed with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra, St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, Chordos String Quartet, chamber choirs Brevis and Jauna muzika, Vilnius State Choir, Aidas Male Choir, Belcanto Mixed Choir, and other ensembles. He has collaborated with such well-known classical and popular musicians as Vytautas Juozapaitis, Irena Milkevičiūtė, Joana Gedmintaitė, Eugenijus Chrebtovas, Artūras Dambrauskas, Mindaugas Bačkus, Laurynas Vakaris Lopas, Aidas and Dainius Puodžiukas, Gunta Gelgotė, Merūnas Vitulskis, Jonas Sakalauskas, Liudas Mikalauskas, Egidijus Sipavičius, Ieva Narkutė, Vaida Genytė, Aistė Pilvelytė, Rūta Ščiogolevaitė, Vladas Kovaleovas, Povilas Meškėla, Jeronimas Milius, Viktoras Gerasimovas, Irena Starošaitė, the band Fusedmarc, the group Skylė and others. He often appears in concerts as a performer of early music, collaborating with such specialists as Robertas Bliškevičius, Nora Petročenko, Nerijus Masevičius, Andres Mustonen, Dmitrij Sinkovskij.
V. Neugasimov performs extensively as a pianist, organist and harpsichordist. In parallel, he is engaged in solo singing, conducting, improvisation, composition, arranging. His arrangements of popular works for choir are successfully performed both in Lithuania and abroad. Since 2011, V. Neugasimovas has worked as a pedagogue, concertmaster and arranger in various TV projects such as "2 minutės šlovės", "Chorus Wars" and "Lietuvos balsas". His songs have received high marks in competitions such as "Vilniaus Bokštai" and "Patriotinės dainos".
In 2014, one of Vitaliy's piano pieces was published in the UK by the ABRSM, an organisation that presents pieces for piano exams in 93 countries around the world.In 2018, another piece was published by ABRSM. Since 2016, Vitaliy's piano pieces have been published by Oxford University Press (OUP). His arrangements and original compositions are increasingly being performed abroad not only by students, but also by renowned music professionals, including the a cappella vocal ensemble Kabuki (Japan), the Australian piano duo (Australia-China), the NoWoc Trio (Netherlands), the guitar virtuoso Petter Richter (Norway), the pianist Giedre Lutz (Germany), and others.
V. Neugasimov is the initiator and/or artistic director of several successful musical projects, including the male vocal ensemble Quorum, Pop Music with Wigs, Intercultural Bridges, the chamber choir Amabile, the vocal ensembles elss, Eleganza, Casablanca and Fratres. For many years, the artist has collaborated with music producers Mario Matulevičius (Mario Kernn) and Zigmundas Klimaševskis (studio Dominanta), who have helped him to realise his most daring creative ideas in the recording studio.
