Event description
Jean Cras, a French naval officer, Mykola Lysenko, a Ukrainian imprisoned after the 1905 Revolution, Ludwig van Beethoven, who lost his hearing but did not stop composing until his death, and Ernst von Dohnányi, a Hungarian who was falsely accused of being politically motivated, were all composers touched by adversity but who created remarkable music without being stopped by destiny. Three string instruments, violin, viola and cello, in a trio rarely heard in Lithuania, but loved by the composers, will reveal these mysterious stories of fate.
