Born in Namibia and raised in South Africa, Eike started playing violin at the age of seven and viola in 2018 after moving to Germany. The violist has already won major competitions in Germany and Cape Town, with one of his most notable achievements being first prize at the Szymonn Golberg International Competition. The violist is currently studying at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar.
