The exhibition consists of works that were partly inspired by travels or trips in Lithuania and abroad. The new collection also marks a new direction in the artist's painting. While in the last decade Liandzbergis' paintings have been dominated by pop culture motifs, loud colours, various ironic and playful applications, the new works show a change in the artist's choice of language. Many of the paintings in the new series show the influence and features of photography: the effect of the negative, achieved by the use of a black background and a silvery-white line, the search for the fragmentary and the instantaneous in the everyday, seemingly accidental situation captured by a phone camera. The works are dominated by realistic images, documentary, seen and captured in the artist's reality, but the artist does not seem to abandon the fantastic motifs or paradoxical juxtapositions that are so typical of his work.
