Matteo Bocelli, a young singer and songwriter who has already captivated the world's biggest stages, will give his first concert in Lithuania. The one and only concert of the charming artist will take place on 18 June. The first ever concert in Vilnius will take place on 18th June at the Compensa Concert Hall in Vilnius. Tickets go on sale from 2 February at 10am.
Matteo Bocelli has been surrounded by classical music since birth, which is not surprising given that his father is one of the world's most famous tenors, Andrea Bocelli. In addition to classical music, the house was filled with songs by other great artists such as Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston and others. From an early age, he learned to play the piano and sing, and later continued his studies at the Italian Conservatory of Music. During his teenage years, Bocelli began to broaden his musical horizons, discovering contemporary popular music. He was particularly interested in the then fledgling singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. His admiration for Bocelli's talent later turned into a collaboration, with Sheeran co-writing, with his brother Matthew Sheeran, Bocelli's lyrical song 'Chasing Stars', about faith, the support of a father, the search for the self and the discovery of the self in music.
As a singer, Bocelli first came to attention when his velvety voice was featured on Bocelli's album Sí, where he and his dad recorded the song Fall on Me together. Even then, listeners noticed the beauty of Bocelli's voice, but fans had to wait a few years before the promising singer launched his independent musical career. In 2020, Bocelli released the breathtaking love song "Solo", a song that seems to blend two different musical worlds: a fusion of classical and popular music. After the release of his debut album Matteo last year, he embarked on a world tour that will take him to the USA and Europe, with his only concert in Lithuania on 18 June.
M. Bocelli's concerts are like a journey through time and across different musical genres. Classical music, original interpretations of world-famous works, pop hits - Bocelli's work is very wide and varied, tinged with different emotions - from gentle sadness to exuberance and happiness. 18 June. Bocelli will come to Vilnius for the first time to present the programme "A night with Matteo". Tickets go on sale from 10am on 2 February.
