"(IN)VISIBLE" is a project of
conceptual photographs and authentic audio recordings based on the experiences of "invisible" chronically ill people.
"When we can see others, we don't know. We see that they are smiling. But we don't know who that passing, smiling person is. We don't know what's inside him", you can hear in one of the project's audio recordings.
With this thought in mind, we invite the audience to experience both the visual and auditory experience of the project's launch event. To learn about "invisible" chronic health disorders, to discover the impact they can have on a person's well-being, mental health and life in general.
The project team is looking forward to presenting 10 creative photographs in which chronic disorders that are not visible on the outside, or that are difficult to identify, such as type 1 diabetes, multiple sclerosis, autoimmune thyroiditis, endometriosis and many others, have been made "visible" by make-up and other means.
Participants of the event will also have the opportunity to listen to audio recordings of anonymous responses from people with chronic health problems to important questions about their life experiences.
Den Rivers, the solo project of Denis Zujev, founder of the cult Lithuanian band Fusedmarc, will also perform during the launch event. "Den Rivers' music is distinguished by its unique sound, atmosphere and lyrics, offering the listener an immersion into a world of sound, harmony and sincerity. The musicians' work touches on themes of inner freedom, consciousness, the determination to choose and unleash one's potential.
