Bachelor of Arts (BA (Hons) degree) second-year student at the British Academy of Photography.
Gabija is passionate about art and its ability to create dialogue between people. Because of that, her main practice field in photography is a conceptual one. During conceptual photography projects, she becomes not only a photographer but also a director, stage, costume, and makeup designer - constructing all aspects of the image with the assistance of other specialists. For now, Gabija is drawn to creating an alternative reality in her images - whether it would be a dystopian future for humanity, or 'invisible' chronic illnesses made 'visible' using special effects makeup and other props.
Aside from conceptual photography projects, Gabija also specializes in taking images at art & culture events. She has participated in different art festivals and other cultural events as a photographer/photojournalist since her teenage years.
At the moment, the photographer lives and works in Vilnius, Lithuania.
