We would like to invite you to meet the girls of exceptional talent, sisters KAJA and KLĖJA KAŠUBAITĖIS. The pianists will not only play, but also tell their incredibly captivating story, which will be interesting not only for the children, but also for their parents and grandparents.
The 14 and 16 year old young performers have already managed to conquer the hearts of music lovers and competition judges in many countries. They have won about 100 first prizes and 28 Grand Prix awards in 27 countries in international competitions, performed on the world's biggest stages as soloists, duets or with orchestras, and have been promoting the name of Lithuania far and wide.
Kaja and Klėja were born in the family of a Lithuanian diplomat and a pianist mother, and so when their father travels from one country to the next, the whole family moves in together. Now living in their fifth country, Germany, the girls always proudly introduce themselves as Lithuanians, but they are open to innovation and feel they are citizens of the world.
The sisters have been listening to music ever since they were still under their mother's heart, and growing up they would organise concerts for their puppets, and then they would bring out their beloved toys to play on stage. Today, they continue to play in the big venues - the Berlin, Vilnius, Kiev and Kaunas Philharmonics, the Royal Palace in Warsaw, the historic Brussels Town Hall, even New York's famous Carnegie Hall, and are not at all proud of their achievements, but are happy to meet ordinary, kind people who genuinely admire the sisters' charisma, the music they play and their professionalism on stage, and even paint their performances in their own paintings.
The sisters will perform their most heartfelt, atmospheric pieces on the piano with four hands, and the story of their interesting lives will be told by actress and director Agnė Sunklodaitė.
