"Stop the Moment is Enchanting!" - You can chain me at once and do whatever you want with me." (J.W. Goethe's "Faust")
On 12 February pianist Kasparas Uinskas will invite the audience to start the festive week at Kaunas Philharmonic Hall, and on 14 February to a solo concert at Vilnius Philharmonic Hall, where he will present a very special programme to all those who are loving, those who are beloved, and all those who are looking for love. At the heart of the programme are two great Romantics, Chopin and Liszt. "Chopin's music is one of the closest to my soul. It embodies everything - the most sensitive human emotions, it is genius, where every note, sound, melody has a meaning and a place. His music requires the utmost pianistic training and at the same time is extremely understandable and accessible to man. In this concert I will perform all 24 preludes that the composer wrote while spending the winter in Mallorca with his beloved George Sand. I think that every listener will hear and feel Chopin's experiences and feelings. The concert will culminate in Liszt's most masterly work, his philosophical Sonata, which has as a kind of leitmotif, although it does not have clear evidence, Goethe's 'Faust'. The Sonata is full of drama, contradictions, joy and the deepest pain; it is like a work that surveys Liszt's entire life." - says pianist K. Uinskas about the programme.
