The performance of the Utena Chamber Theatre "A Couple... Open Couple", a one-act comedy for adults, based on the play by Italian playwright, actor Dario Fo. It is a witty, humorous play about a woman's struggle for liberation, liberation from the stereotypes prevailing in the society, from the man's "power" in the family - about a woman's right to control her own destiny. This is a time for those who miss intellectual humour in the theatre. This one-act comedy is a frank conversation, creating an immediate atmosphere between actors and audience, mocking the existing stereotypes and couples who are well aware that an open married couple has a "small inconvenience": it has to be open only on the husband's side... Dario Fo is an Italian actor, playwright, comedian, singer, filmmaker, set designer. Awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1997, he is one of the most widely produced authors in contemporary drama in the world theatre. He wrote this play with his wife Franka Rame.
