This exhibition presents early and recent works by Mikolas Povils Vilutis. Alongside the well-known drawings and silkscreens from the 1980s, there are prints, drawings and objects that have never been exhibited before. This exhibition is a retrospective look at the artist's own work. The exhibition consists of three parts. These are the early works that have become an inseparable part of the history of Lithuanian art in the second half of the 20th century - ink drawings and silkscreen prints from the 1980s, which are very rarely shown, or rather, their replicas. Vilutis presents these works in a highly effective way - the works are digitally enlarged, and the rich acrylic brushstrokes applied on top of the old drawings bring out the expression of the works. The Šiauliai Art Gallery (Vilniaus g. 245) will be open until 18 January 2025.
