Reflections give meaning to the content, allow to more clearly identify the situation, and to transfer it to the level of analysis. Performing arts, and theatre in particular, combine two main forms of expression - physical and verbal. According to D. Dašenkovienė, the basic premise of any theatrical activity is the aim to express a certain opinion. In this way, theatre for the artist becomes a theatre of thought, which, by appealing to the human mind, is called upon to address the fundamental questions of human existence.
The artist seeks to reveal the classical and ancient identity of Homo sapiens reflected in the theatrical narrative. Using self-portraits, figures of friends and relatives, she works on the principle of a frame plot. The figures sometimes become frozen in their solitary bodies, like Greek statues. This is at the same time an evocation of nostalgia, but at the expense of narrative clarity. According to Dašenkovienė, "in plays, one always expects the action to continue, whereas in painting, one wants to avoid it. But theatre gives me a stage, a model, props. Then I can create the lighting and the composition according to my own script. A form emerges - a visible object that is the result of my subjectivity and external reality. All my work is born out of passion, out of an encounter with reality."
