Varang Nord have been shaking up the countries of Europe and their cities for over a decade in their musical battles. Celebrating their 10th anniversary, they announce shows in the Baltics and Poland - let's all meet on the battlefield! They will be joined by a special guest for the evening in Vilnius, who will be announced in the near future.

 

Varang Nord is a folk metal band from the cold forests of Latvia. They combine harsh death metal riffs with epic accordion chants to create a unique blend of Nordic pagan folk metal. Their songs glorify mighty historical battles, the bloody sacrifice of warriors to the old gods and the merry Nordic feast with endless and constantly sparkling mugs of beer. Since its formation in 2014, Varang Nord has released four studio albums - Fire of the North (2014), Master of the Forest (2015), Call of Battle (2017) and Pārķiuņa Oomurs (2021). Fans are familiar with their music videos, and during this period they have performed extensively across Europe, including all the European Black Pilgrimage Tour 2023 concerts with the legendary Batushka and Arkona. To date, the Latvian band's main achievement, which has made them famous worldwide, is winning the Wacken Open Air (WOA) Metal Battle competition at one of the biggest metal music festivals in 2019. This victory not only opened the door to a solid recording studio and earned the band an invitation to play on the big WOA stage in 2022, but also made our neighbours famous even outside Europe.

 

 

Alongside on this tour will be the blackened death metal project from Riga, Deodium. The origins date back to 2009, when the guys decided to learn how to play musical instruments and immediately formed their own band. The lyrical themes of their work revolve around the "individual" and the interaction with his personality, inner world and the surrounding environment. The lyrics complement the thought process with references to social, political, psychological and religious themes.
