Yomi was formed in 2013, and, having changed several styles and line-ups, broke up a year after due to the members not having time for the band. Nevertheless, in 2014 Artiom (folk-instruments, vocals) and Nikita (guitar) re-joined as a band, filled the gaps in the line-up, and Yomi continued its work, in 2015 releasing their debut album titled ‘Age of the Gods’.
Yomi is a Japanese folk metal band from Latvia. Their songs combine death/black riffs with traditional Japanese tunes, telling us about ancient history, glorious battles and mythical heroes.
