Artists Saulė Šerytė and Birutė Asevičiūtė present a concert programme "Beethoven alone", in which the songs of the genius Ludwig van Beethoven will be given a new sound.
L. van Beethoven is best known for his symphonic and instrumental works. But his songs for voice and piano are just as interesting. During the concert, Lithuanian translations of the lyrics will be read to help the audience understand the meaning of the songs better.
S.ŠERYTĖ, the winner of the Wagner Forum Graz Special Prize (1996) and the Tiito Kuusik International Chamber Music Competition (2012), began her solo singing studies at the LAMTA, continued them and graduated with a Master's degree at the University of Arts in Graz (Austria). Later, she obtained a Doctor of Arts degree from the LAMTA. She has participated in numerous masterclasses, music festivals in Europe, and has given concerts with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, the St. She has performed with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, the Chamber Ensemble Musica Humana, the choirs Jauna muzika and Aidija, the early music ensembles Duo Barocco, Affectus, Concertino delle donne, and the international early music ensemble Canto fiorito.
B. ASEVIČIŪTĖ is a prize-winner at international competitions and has taken part in festivals. She has performed with such stars as Virgilijus Noreika, Merūnas Vitulskis, Liudas Mikalauskas, Jovita Vaškevičiūtė, Ona Kolobovaitė, and other artists. B. Asevičiūtė is also a lecturer, giving presentations to Lithuanian teachers and musicians.
