Meczopranė Saulė Šerytė studied in the solo singing class at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre with professor Vlada Mikštaitė, and then continued her studies in other institutions: singing courses led by Lilija Šukytė and Josef Loibl, and the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in Austria, where she obtained a Master of Arts degree in 1998. She also participated in masterclasses in the Netherlands ("Holland Music Session"), Italy ("Daniel Ferro Vocal Program"), Slovenia (international singing school "Hugo Wolf Song Interpretation"), the Czech Republic, and France. Saulė is the winner of the special prize of the "Wagner Forum Graz" competition and the Tiit Kuusik International Chamber Music Competition. She has performed in various festivals in Austria, Slovenia, and Lithuania and sang at the Lithuanian National Drama Theater.
Saulė's repertoire includes songs and vocal orchestral works of various genres, including alto parts, solo works, early music, and Lieder. She has performed with many orchestras and ensembles, such as the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Musica Humana, St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, Jauna Muzika, Aidija, Affectus, Ventus Maris, Alta Danza, Concertino delle Donne, Duo Barocco, and Suonatori del Granduca. Since 2010, Saulė has been a PhD student at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, and her research topic is "Ornamentation in Italian and French Baroque Vocal Music: Treatises and Comparative Analysis."
