Instrumental folklore group Vilniaus kaimo kapela (Vilnius Village Band) was founded in late 2023. The idea of the band was born from the younger generation of ethnomusicians Marius Mockevičius and Darius Bagdonavičius. The enthusiasts wanted not only to record traditional musicians, but also to play together with them. The young performers try to take over the still alive techniques of traditional music-making from the violinist Vytautas, who plays together. The group's repertoire includes traditional instrumental pieces: waltzes, polkas, foxtrots and others. Most of them have been taken over from the living tradition by the older generation of musicians. 

Meetings are an opportunity not only to listen, but also to ask questions, to chat, to learn. We invite experts, performers and enthusiasts in their field to come to Etnoerdves to talk about various topics, where together we can clarify, explore and search. We will be hosting an open interview, in which we can all take part.

The price of the event is EUR 7.

Purchased tickets are not refundable or exchangeable, unless cancelled or rescheduled due to the fault of the organiser.

The event takes place in the premises of "Etnoerdvi" in Raitininkų str. 2-3 (entrance from the courtyard side through the door hidden behind green bushes and bushes).
