The visual art exhibition "Tacuma", in which four artists - Eglė Ganda Bogdanienė, Jonas Staselis, Sviatlana Petuškova and Andrius Grigalaitis - explore the complex landscape of identity and individuality in our time, drawing on the ideas of philosopher and sociologist Zygmund Bauman. The exhibition encourages a dialogue about the constant search for and redefinition of the relationship between the individual and the community in today's digital and globalised society.
The exhibition uses the term "Tacitus" as a metaphor for a journey through the maze of contemporary existence and social relations, reflecting Bauman's concept of "fluid modernity". The works invite viewers to reflect on how constant change and uncertainty affect our perception of identity, our relationships with others and our place in the world.
The artists use a variety of media, including textiles, printmaking, and photography, to create visual metaphors that reflect the human condition in contemporary society.
