Textile artist, professor; actively participates in art exhibitions and projects in Lithuania and abroad.
In 1985 she graduated from the Textile Programme of the Lithuanian State Art Institute (Vilnius Academy of Arts). Since 1990 she has been working at the Textile Department of the Vilnius Academy of Arts. Since 1999 she has been a member of the LDS. In 2005 she was awarded the title of Associate Professor at the VDA. Since 2008 she has been elected a member of the VDA Senate, Chair of the Scientific and Art Committee. 2011 - 2019 VDA Vice-Rector for Studies, Chair of the VDA Committee for Studies 2011-2019. Since 2012 - member of the international professional network ArcInTex.2013 - 2014 - Chairperson of the Study Committee of the Lithuanian Rectors' Conference.
Developing her specialty competences she had internships at the University of Industrial Art and Design in Helsinki, Finland, Konstnarern Kollektiv Verkstad in Stockholm, Sweden, at the West Dean College of Art in the UK, and at the Tasara Weaving Centre in India.
