The old capital of Lithuania, Trakai, is represented not only by its medieval castles, which testify to the country's history, and its beautiful natural surroundings, but also by the Galvė JAZZ Fiesta, which has been held since 2008.
These are jazz evenings on board the Galvė ship, where the most famous Lithuanian jazz stars and guests from abroad perform. The Galvė JAZZ fiesta is the only such jazz project in Lithuania.
Jazz lovers not only embark on a musical journey on Galvė Lake, but also enjoy the Trakai castles, the towering palace of Užutrakis Manor, the stunning landscape, and the music while they watch the sun set.
The last chords of the concert are struck as dusk falls on the lake and the boat returns to the pier of the Royal Garden. Jazz boat journeys are enveloped in a special aura of warmth and closeness, as the music over the water merges with the shifting images of the great outdoors, leaving a stunning impression.
The Galvė JAZZ Fiesta is a different Trakai, with a jazz beat.
The Galvė JAZZ Fiesta takes place every Friday evening in July and August.
