LTMKS (Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Art Creators' Union) is an association founded in 1997 (February 17), continuing the activities of Metastudija, founded in 1994. The Union brings together more than 140 young and established contemporary artists who have received National and other important prizes, participated in the Venice Biennale and other renowned international and local exhibitions. It is the only organisation run by contemporary artists and curators in Lithuania that has been operating consistently for more than two decades. It organises and produces exhibitions, events, residencies, publications and represents artists in socio-political situations.
