Mission The "Valstybinis Dainų Ir Šokių Ansamblis "Lietuva"' is a leader in the national performing arts, presenting Lithuania's identity in a relevant way and inspiring pride in living history. Vision Ensemble "Lietuva" is recognised as the innovators of Lithuanian national performing arts, with the courage to create and uphold high quality and the identity of the country. Values The ensemble is distinguished by its high quality, fostering of the country's identity, dissemination of national art in the regions, community and courage to create. Living history is their core value. Activities "Lietuva" is the only joint professional choir, dance and orchestra ensemble in the Baltic States that brings Lithuanian historical events to the stage in an innovative way through musical performances. The ensemble brings together the country's strongest masters of the performing arts to realise ambitious projects such as the musical drama "The Saga of the Gifted Heart", the collage opera "Mazvydas", the theatrical oratorio "13", the mystery "Gods and Men" and others. Uniqueness "Lietuva" is characterised by its versatility, its courage to experiment and its unique interpretation of the national genre. The ensemble acts as a cultural ambassador, presenting Lithuania's cultural heritage and folk performing arts. Living history is conveyed through professional performing arts in order to attract audiences of all ages. Achievements In 2018-2023, the ensemble performed over 550 performances, becoming the most regionally performing ensemble in Lithuania and gaining the support of Lithuanians worldwide. "Lietuva" is also known for its educational initiatives for the younger generation. Long-term Campaign The ensemble continues its „Auginkime vienybės raumenį“ campaign, which aims to unite people of different nations and religions who have historically built a common history in Lithuania, reminding them that unity is key. Leadership The ensemble is led by Edita Katauskienė (ensemble director), Giedrius Svilainis (artistic director), Dr. Egidijus Kaveckas (chief conductor of the orchestra), Aušra Krasauskaitė (chief ballet master), Algimantas Kriūnas (chief choir master) and Giedrė Kriaučionytė-Vosylienė (director).
