One of the largest and most popular events in Lithuania, the Sea Festival is usually held in Klaipėda at the end of July or beginning of August. It is a three-day festival during which the city is alive with intense cultural, entertainment and sporting life. Although the programme varies from year to year, the Sea Festival concerts are always an important part of the festivities, attracting both local and international performers. 

 
During the festival, Klaipėda's Great Square, Castle Pier and other venues host major concerts. Well-known Lithuanian artists and bands, as well as guests from abroad, perform here. Styles range from pop and rock to jazz and electronic music. 

During the festival, the streets and squares of Klaipėda come alive with performances by street musicians of different genres. It offers a unique opportunity to discover new talents and enjoy music while strolling through the Old Town. 

The Sea Festival is also famous for its alternative music scenes, such as indie, alternative rock, folk and electronic music concerts, which usually take place in smaller venues or even in city parks. 

 
The festival also promotes Lithuania's cultural heritage by presenting performances by ethnic music and folklore ensembles, which provide an insight into traditional songs and dances from Lithuania and other countries. 

 
The Sea Festival is not without concerts taking place in the harbour area. These can be large concerts or more intimate performances that add to the festive atmosphere by the sea.
