One of the largest and most popular events in Lithuania, the Sea Festival is usually held in Klaipėda at the end of July or beginning of August. It is a three-day festival during which the city is alive with intense cultural, entertainment and sporting life. Although the programme varies from year to year, the Sea Festival concerts are always an important part of the festivities, attracting both local and international performers.
Major concerts
During the festival, Klaipėda's Great Square, Castle Pier and other venues host major concerts. Well-known Lithuanian artists and bands, as well as guests from abroad, perform here. Styles range from pop and rock to jazz and electronic music.
